How to Train a Puppy

Dog obedience is vital for a happy pet/owner romantic relationship. Learning a few basic puppy training techniques will have you well on your way to effectively training your pup.

Puppy Training Foundations
Motivate your puppy
As soon as you bring your pup home, step into his mind frame. Canines are pack pets and like to follow a leader. If you act like one, your puppys biggest inspiration will become causing you to happy.

Keep it Consistent
The only way your pup will ever learn is if there is a clear and constant connection between your puppys actions as well as your reaction.

If your puppy does something right, prize and compliment him enthusiastically. If he will something wrong, make it clear youre unhappy or disregard him.

For example, if you dont want your pup on the furniture, say No loudly and guide him off every time he climbs up. Then compliment him every time he gets on to the floor.

If you fail to be consistent, your pup will be too.

Puppy treats
You will find no free rides when it comes to treats. Make your pup earn every one of them.

Its better to avoid offering pup food as praise each time. Start steadily replacing the treat with praise. Once your pup has learned a command, give the treat every other time, then every third time, always praising enthusiastically. Soon, your puppy is wonderful for compliment and the occasional treat.

Correcting mistakes
Dogs are not spiteful. If your puppy is doing something amiss, it probably got the theory it was okay. You have to teach your puppy otherwise.

First, capture him in the act. Dogs cant connect a punishment for an action hours or even minutes ago. Never hit your puppy. Instead, when you see your puppy doing something amiss, say, No in a sharpened tone. Whenever your puppy stops, praise him and present him another thing to do like Sit down or Come. Praise him abundantly for responding.

Remember, pup training doesn't have to be harsh. With so many different training methods available, choose one that best puppy pictures fits you and your puppy dog. If it doesnt work, just try another o
